Overwatch Stats (owherostats.com) is an independent, community-run statistics site. It is not operated by, endorsed by, or affiliated with Blizzard Entertainment, Inc.

We run one third-party analytics product, Google Analytics 4, to see which pages are visited and how people reach the site. There is no Meta pixel, and we build no behavioural profile of visitors ourselves. What is stored is limited to the following:

• Analytics cookies (_ga and _ga_9ZBGVF4YEV). Set by Google Analytics 4 and valid for up to two years, so that a repeat visit is counted as one returning visitor rather than several new ones. Analytics records which pages you view, an approximate location derived from your IP address, and your device and browser type. Google Analytics 4 does not log or store IP addresses. We read the results only as aggregate reports and do not use them to identify anyone.
• These analytics cookies are set only if you accept on the cookie banner. If you decline, or before you answer, nothing is stored on your device: Google Analytics receives a cookieless signal that a page was viewed, carrying no identifier.
• Display preferences. Your rank, region, game mode, input and time-window selections are kept in first-party cookies so the site shows the same view when you come back. They are readable only by this site.
• A support-click identifier (ow_vid). A random first-party cookie, valid for one year, used for exactly one purpose: to avoid counting the same person's Ko-fi button click more than once. It is not linked to any account or profile.
• A fallback identifier. When no ow_vid cookie comes back — a first visit, or cookies blocked — we derive a temporary identifier from a one-way salted hash of your IP address and browser user agent. Raw IP addresses are hashed on receipt and are never written to storage.
• Bug reports. If you submit the bug-report form we store the title, description and steps you wrote, plus an email address only if you chose to give one. The email field is optional and the form works without it.
• Donation records. If you support the site through Ko-fi, Ko-fi sends us a record of the donation which may include the name and email address you gave Ko-fi. We use it only to acknowledge support. Your payment details never reach this site — Ko-fi and its payment processor handle those under their own policies.
• Aggregate counters. Non-identifying totals, such as how many times a feature was used. These carry no personal data.

This site is funded by advertising and is served by Google AdSense.

Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this site or other sites. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to this and other sites on the internet.

You can opt out of personalised advertising by Google at google.com/settings/ads. You can opt out of some other third-party vendors' use of cookies for personalised advertising at aboutads.info/choices. Where the law requires it, you will be asked for consent before personalised advertising cookies are set, and you can change that choice at any time.

Until you accept on the cookie banner, Google's tags run with advertising storage denied, which means no advertising cookies are set and any ads you see are non-personalised.

Ads are placed by hand on this site; Google Auto Ads are switched off.

The hero, map and tier-list figures on this site are derived from publicly available Overwatch match data. They describe the game, not you. Nothing about your own play is collected, and this site cannot see your Overwatch account.

You can clear or block this site's cookies at any time in your browser. Blocking them does not stop you using the site — you will simply get the default view on each visit.

A cookie banner appears on your first visit. Accepting and declining are a single click each, and the choice is remembered for six months in a first-party cookie (ow_consent). Declining is the default: until you answer, analytics and advertising storage stay switched off.

You can change your answer at any time — "Cookie choices" in the footer of every page brings the banner back.

To opt out of Google Analytics on every site rather than just this one, install Google's opt-out browser add-on at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.

You may ask us for a copy of what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email [email protected]. Because almost everything we store is anonymous, we will usually need something to locate the record — for example the email address you used on a bug report — and we may not be able to identify any record at all, which is by design.

Bug reports and donation records are kept for as long as they are useful for support and accounting, and are deleted on request. Cookies expire on the schedule described above. Aggregate counters carry no personal data and are kept indefinitely.

Google Analytics event data is held by Google and deleted on the retention schedule configured for the property. The aggregate reports built from it carry no personal data.

This site is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has sent us personal information through the bug-report form, email us and we will delete it.

If this policy changes we will update the date at the top of this page. Material changes to what we collect will be described here rather than made silently.
